About This Station
The site is powered by a Davis cabled Vantage Pro2 weather station with a daytime fan aspirated radiation shield kit. The sensor data is collected every 2.5 seconds and the web site is updated every 30 minutes. Weather Display Software is used to collate the data, produce graphs and charts and update this site. The station consists of an anemometer mounted on a pole 2 metres above the roof line and an integrated sensor suite combining rain collector, temperature and humidity sensors mounted 1.5 metres above ground.
A solar sensor was added to the station 18 Feb 2008
The site is protected from southerly winds and consequently winds between SW and ESE will be under reported and direction unreliable compared to wind in open areas.
